TV tough guy Danny Dyer has ditched drugs and alcohol and found a new hobby he’s now completely ‘obsessed’ with.

EastEnders star Danny Dyer has revealed he’s finally given up drinking, turning instead to building with toy bricks for mindfulness — even creating a replica of Hogwarts after years of being “off his nut.”

TV tough guy Danny Dyer has traded wild nights for peaceful builds — with Lego. The former EastEnders star confessed he was “off his nut” on booze and prescription meds during his time on the soap.

But after a rehab stint and a heartfelt intervention from his daughter Dani, 28, Danny turned things around. Now, the Football Factory actor says he’s swapped alcohol for toy bricks and rowdy terraces for moments of mindfulness.

The 47-year-old Bentley-driving star of the hit show Rivals now has his sights set on constructing a massive model of a classic Star Wars spaceship. He admitted, “I’m quite obsessed with Lego now.”

“A Lego of the Millennium Falcon would be my luxury item. I am sure it has about six or seven thousand pieces I am quite good with mindfulness and I need that.

“I built a Lego Hogwarts once. I thoroughly enjoyed it but once it’s built you don’t know where to put it. Where does it sit?”

The classic Star Wars craft, flown by Harrison Ford’s Hans Solo, has 7,541 pieces and costs £734. He added: “This is my dream one. I love Star. Wars and the Millennium Falcon and I think it would take me a long time to build.”

Dyer joined the cast of EastEnders in 2013 as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter but he turned to booze and drug-taking to cope.

He went into rehab in South Africa in 2017 and was close to quitting the facility until a letter from home made him reflect on the pain he’d caused his family.

He said: “I had a moment where my ego started to rise again and I’d had enough.

Then they read a letter out from my daughter, my Dani, and it made me sit back down in that seat pretty lively.
