Is the past repeating?
EastEnders fans are speculating that the show might revisit a ‘Junior Six’ storyline, where Walford’s teenagers band together to take down the local villain, Joel Marshall.
Since his arrival earlier this year, Joel has made plenty of enemies, quickly alienating the youth of Walford due to his treatment of Avani. After sleeping with her and then publicly humiliating her, he’s managed to upset nearly everyone—except Tommy.
Following his recent assault on a young woman on the tube, his behaviour shows no signs of improving. With many viewers already labeling him as beyond redemption, some are wondering how much longer he’ll remain on the show.
Could the soap be gearing up to kill Joel off in a revamped version of The Six?

EastEnders fans predict Joel’s death in a junior version of ‘The Six’ storyline
On a playful Reddit thread, one fan shared their theory on how Joel might meet his downfall. Drawing inspiration from The Six and their murder of Keanu Taylor, they suggested the plot could repeat itself.
“Avani, Lily, Tommy, Nugget, Ricky, Amy, and Denzel (maybe not Tommy… someone will have to sit this one out if they keep it to six). They’re going to team up to take Joel down. I don’t see how he can be redeemed, and honestly, he’s only going to get worse. So screw it—let’s have another The Six™,” wrote the fan.
“I actually think this would be a great storyline,” another agreed.
“Lowkey, I’d watch that and be hooked,” added a different fan.
“I would really love if they did this,” said a third.
As the discussion continued, it was clear each teen would have a reason to want Joel gone—especially Amy, Denzel, and Nugget, who are still furious over how he treated Avani. Tommy might also eventually snap as Joel’s manipulative behaviour continues.

Joel’s negative influence grows in EastEnders next week
In upcoming episodes, Joel will continue to manipulate Tommy, urging him to steal vapes from the Minute Mart. When Kat finds out about their actions, she storms off to confront Vicki and Ross, concerned about Joel’s harmful effect on her son.
Meanwhile, Kat’s attention is soon caught by another issue—Alfie’s deception about being in Australia. Angered, she demands answers from a recently returned Stacey. Will Kat finally uncover the truth about Zoe?
