Cindy has returned!
In last night’s EastEnders, Cindy Beale made her dramatic return to Albert Square after months of self-imposed exile. Her departure followed the revelation that Kathy was behind the Christmas Day attack on her – and her own act of revenge, which saw Ian shoved in front of Reiss’s car.
After triggering the explosion at the Queen Vic – which ultimately led to Martin’s death – Cindy took time away from Walford, laying low with her friend Gita in recent weeks.
She resurfaced just as Peter and Lauren were celebrating their engagement, strolling in as if nothing had happened. Unsurprisingly, her reappearance didn’t go down well with either of her families – and a good portion of the viewers weren’t thrilled either.
Cindy’s Return Sparks Backlash from EastEnders Fans
As Cindy made her comeback, viewers quickly took to social media to react — and let’s just say, the welcome wasn’t exactly warm.
“Our peaceful Cindy-free break has ended,” one Reddit user lamented.
“Honestly, Cindy can just leaaaaave,” another chimed in.
“Cindy’s returned. Is it time for her to leave again yet?” a third sighed on X.
“Can they please just write Cindy out again!” another viewer exclaimed.
“OMG! Cindy, JUST LEAVE!! I can’t stand this character — she’s exhausting to watch,” someone else ranted.

Cindy outs Kathy as her attacker in tonight’s EastEnders
The drama heats up in Walford tonight (Tuesday, May 6) as Cindy stirs up more trouble by revealing that Kathy was the one who attacked her.
Following the bombshell, Cindy heads to confront Lauren – but is stunned to find her going into labour.
As the week unfolds, Cindy steps up to help Lauren get to the hospital when the ambulance is delayed. At the same time, Chelsea informs Peter that Lauren’s in labour.
