EastEnders’ Lorraine Stanley looks transformed as she shows off her weight loss in a rare photo.

EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley is barely recognisable as she flaunts her weight loss in a rare photo with her lookalike sister – the actress, known for playing Karen Taylor on the BBC soap.

EastEnders alum Lorraine Stanley has impressed her fans with an incredible body transformation, one year after departing from the beloved BBC soap.

The actress, known for her role as Karen Taylor, wowed followers with her transformed appearance. The 48-year-old recently posted a photo on Instagram with her sister, accompanied by a heartfelt birthday message.

Sporting a boho-chic look with an embroidered floral waistcoat over a white vest, paired with a long khaki skirt and oversized sunglasses, Lorraine from the BBC looked completely transformed as she smiled next to her sister. She shared the photo with a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister Karen. Love you millions.”

Along with showcasing her newly slimmed-down figure, Lorraine was spotted cheering at the London Marathon, supporting snooker player Frankie Jakeway. Posting a blend of photos and videos from the event on social media, she enjoyed a sunny day out in the city.

She also posed at several iconic locations around town with her partner Mark Perez and their daughter Nancy, who was born in 2015. The photos capture her joy as she celebrated Frankie completing the tough 26-mile marathon, and Lorraine couldn’t hide her pride, sharing: “Smashed it Jakeway. I couldn’t be more proud of you! I couldn’t do it, so huge respect! And for such an incredible cause, Children Cancer UK. We had an amazing day. Nancy loved watching you,” reports the Mirror.

Lorraine was a mainstay on EastEnders for seven memorable years before her character, Karen Taylor, became entangled in a complex fake kidnapping plot involving her son Keanu Taylor and his girlfriend Sharon Watts’ baby, Albie Watts, which ultimately led to her departure in 2023.

Her final appearance on the show aired in December 2023, after she swiped a substantial amount of cash from tough guy Phil Mitchell and made a quick getaway.

In 2024, Lorraine made a brief return to Walford for a few scenes after the grim discovery of her on-screen son Keanu’s remains, attending his farewell. However, don’t get too excited about a full-time return; Lorraine has made it clear that her time on the soap is over, insisting her departure is final.

In a previous interview with The Sun, she shared: “Once you’ve been on a soap, you’ve done a soap. Right now, I wouldn’t go back; I’m happy with what I’m doing.”

However, she’s not completely closing the door, leaving it slightly open with: “They’ve kept the door open, so never say never. I made that special appearance, and it was great to see everyone and feel like part of the family again.”
