Roxy and her sister Ronnie both died in 2017, drowning in a pool on Ronnie’s wedding day to Jack.
However, many viewers are willing to overlook Roxy’s death if it means she could return to Walford once again.
Roxy Mitchell’s Tragic Death in EastEnders
On January 1, 2017, Ronnie and Roxy’s New Year took a devastating turn. On Ronnie and Jack Branning’s wedding day, Roxy accidentally fell into a pool.
Ronnie dove in after her sister but became entangled in her wedding dress and tragically drowned as well.
Since that heartbreaking moment, fans have been pleading with the show to rewrite history and bring the Mitchell sisters back to life despite their on-screen deaths.
Now, with new producer Ben Wadey stepping in to replace Chris Clenshaw, fans are once again calling for Roxy’s return.
Adding fuel to the speculation, actress Rita Simons is reportedly exiting rival soap Hollyoaks, where she plays Marie Fielding, according to The Sun.
Her final scenes are expected to air this autumn, with filming wrapping up this summer.
A source revealed, “London has been calling her, and balancing a job she loves with her life in London has been challenging.”

Another fan commented: “RITA SIMONS QUITTING HOLLYOAKS? THE POSSIBILITY IS REAL…”
