A new EastEnders fan theory has surfaced, speculating that Nicola Mitchell’s major secret is that Harry is actually Benji’s son, not Teddy’s.

This week (Tuesday, April 29), Benji reminded Nicola that he knows all of her secrets.

But what really happened between them in the past? Is Shireen’s death the only secret they’ve been hiding?

Nicola and Benji’s Dark Past
Viewers will be aware that Nicola and newcomer Benji share a long and troubled history.

Nicola was responsible for Shireen’s death, and Benji played a key role in the cover-up. Several years ago, Shireen, Harry’s girlfriend, went missing after discovering that Teddy wasn’t Barney’s biological father.

To keep her quiet, Nicola had Shireen killed, with Benji assisting in the act and later burying her body in Paradise Park.

However, Benji made sure to bury Nicola’s distinctive bracelet with Shireen.

Now that Teddy is working with Junior on a project at the park, he has uncovered the truth about Nicola’s actions.

In an effort to avoid prison, Nicola agreed to pay Benji a large sum to relocate Shireen’s body.

But as Benji carried out the task, Teddy tipped off the police, and they arrived just in time to arrest him.

Nicola is already hiding a major secret about one of her children—namely, that Barney is actually Zack’s biological son, not Teddy’s.

However, with Benji hinting that he knows more of Nicola’s dark past, a new fan theory suggests that she may have also been pregnant with his child.

On X, one EastEnders fan shared: “I’m convinced Nicola has two sons from two different fathers, and Benji is actually Harry’s father, not Teddy. We already know Zack is Barney’s dad.”

Another fan added their own theory, writing: “And Benji is Harry’s dad.”

But if this theory holds true, could it mean that neither of Nicola’s sons is actually Teddy’s?
