“Coronation Street star Melissa Johns reveals she’s expecting her first baby as she shares adorable video.”

“Melissa Johns, star of Coronation Street, has shared the joyful news that she’s expecting her first child with husband Dan in a heartwarming social media post.”

Coronation Street star Melissa Johns has happily revealed she’s expecting her first baby in a charming post on social media. The 35-year-old, best known for playing Imogen Pascoe on the soap between 2017 and 2019, was clearly overjoyed as she shared the special news with her followers online.

The actress and disability advocate made the announcement from a beach, where she and her husband lovingly cradled her blossoming baby bump. The couple were seen wrapped in a warm embrace with the ocean as their backdrop, while Melissa glowed in a bright orange and red floral dress.

Melissa and her husband Dan offered their followers a glimpse of their baby’s ultrasound image, accompanied by a tiny pair of booties and a cute knitted toy. They also revealed a mirror with the words “Baby H-J, 2025…” written on it, capturing a sweet moment of themselves reflected in the glass.

In her caption, Melissa wrote: “Oh baby. We made a wish and it came true… Baby H-J – we can’t wait to meet you. Forever grateful.” According to the Mirror, the post quickly racked up hundreds of likes and was flooded with messages of congratulations.

One follower commented, “Huge congratulations to you both,” while another wrote, “Absolutely thrilled for you two!”

A third fan exclaimed, “Eeeep!! Congratulations,” while another excitedly wrote, “Congrats! Welcome to the mummy club! So happy for you.”

Theatre actress Amy Forrest also joined in, writing, “Congratulations!!” with a red heart emoji.

Melissa Johns opened up about her journey, saying, “We still live in a world where people question whether disabled individuals are worthy of love, intimacy, and family — it’s time to change that perspective.”

The Grantchester star, who will soon return as Miss Scott, also shared: “Pregnant actors are rarely seen working, but it’s completely doable with the right mindset and support. I want others to know that. It’s the same kind of accessibility we’ve long advocated for in the disability space — it’s all about access and reasonable adjustments.”

This heartwarming announcement comes less than a year after Melissa and her husband Dan exchanged vows in a stunning wedding ceremony. Looking back on their big day, Melissa shared: “I know it might sound strange, but honestly, I just feel absolutely amazing.”

“I thought it would simply be a wedding and a celebration, but I never anticipated the incredible shift I’d feel within myself and in our relationship. It’s strange — like falling in love all over again. It’s truly amazing.”

The couple’s idyllic wedding was held on 11 October at the historic Brinsop Court Manor House and Barn, which dates back to the 14th century—a day Melissa called “perfect.” She looked radiant in a strapless fishtail dress featuring a fitted corset and delicate beaded detailing, while Dan, a transport planning consultant, opted for a smart three-piece tweed suit paired with a paisley tie.

Melissa, born without half of her right arm, reflected on the profound significance of saying “I Do.” She shared, “Growing up with one arm and looking different from others, I wasn’t always sure marriage was something I’d experience.”

“People often comment or doubt whether someone like me will find love or get married just because of appearance or disability. That’s why our wedding day held so much more meaning for me.”
