Coronation Street will broadcast a special flashback episode revealing the backstory of Kit Green and Mick and Lou Michaelis.
Coronation Street is preparing to reveal Kit Green’s secret history in a dramatic flashback episode.
The special episode, airing Friday, May 16, will take viewers back to 2007, showcasing the teenage years of Kit (Jacob Roberts) and the married couple Mick (Joe Layton) and Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty), as their connected past comes to light.
Throughout the hour-long episode, hidden truths will come to light and deeply buried wounds will be reopened.
According to the official synopsis, these revelations will “offer insight into Kit’s actions and explain the roots of his complex relationships.”
Kit arrived on the cobbles last year, and it was later revealed that he is the youngest son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), whom she gave up for adoption shortly after his birth, as reported by Leicestershire Live.

Kit’s life was thrown into turmoil when Mick and Lou arrived in Weatherfield back in February, instantly creating tension between him and Mick.
Since then, soap fans have seen Gary Windass (Mikey North) become wary of Kit’s efforts to shield Mick.
Now, the mystery behind Kit’s unusual behaviour is about to be uncovered, as the soap delves into the past that connects them.
Director Jason Wingard shared in a statement: “We had to carefully research the details that would reflect the 2007 setting — back then, DVDs were still sold in stores, and things like music, cars, and phones were noticeably different.”
“In the planning phase, we held numerous meetings across departments. Every element of the location had to be managed — from the cars to the houses — to recreate the right feel and atmosphere for the episode.”

“Directing this episode has been an incredible experience,” said Jason Wingard. “I’m extremely proud of the cast’s performances. Everyone on the cast and crew was fantastic, and the whole process was truly thrilling.”
Jacob Roberts, who portrays Kit, commented: “I was thankful we’d be exploring Kit’s backstory to help explain what shaped him. He lived a very different life in the past — one he’s tried hard to move on from, unlike Mick.”
“Mick and Lou’s arrival has really unsettled Kit. He knows they spell trouble, and now that he’s a Detective Constable, it’s his responsibility to keep things calm in Weatherfield.”
“Kit was a lot like Mick and Lou in his youth, and they use that against him — he’s deeply afraid of his past resurfacing,” Jacob explained.
He added: “Meeting Brook [Debio], who plays the younger Kit, was a surreal moment — it was definitely amusing to come face-to-face with a version of my younger self.”
