Coronation Street won’t be airing tonight (Friday, July 4) due to a slight shake-up in the ITV schedule as the sporting season takes centre stage.

This week has seen soap schedules across both ITV and BBC thrown into disarray, with tennis and football coverage taking priority and bumping soaps from their usual timeslots.

As a result, there’ll be no episode of Corrie this evening, meaning fans will have to hold on until next week to catch the next instalment.

Coronation Street won’t be on tonight – here’s when it returns

Coronation Street typically airs on Friday evenings between 8pm and 9pm, but there will be no new episode tonight.

Instead, fans will need to wait until next week for the next instalment. The schedule change comes as ITV airs coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, starting from 7.15pm.

With the Germany vs. Poland match kicking off at 8pm, there’s no slot available for Corrie to be broadcast.

The next episode of the Weatherfield favourite will now air on Thursday, July 10 from 9pm to 10pm.

For those eager to watch early, the episode will also be available on ITVX and YouTube from 7am that same day, ahead of the live airing.

What’s coming up on Coronation Street next week

Corrie will only air twice next week, with episodes scheduled for Thursday and Friday, July 12.

As the week unfolds, Maria becomes increasingly worried and reports Gary Windass as a missing person, prompting Kit to dig into the case.
