Coronation Street has revealed that the missing Gary Windass has been found — and he’s now in hospital, unconscious and in a coma after a violent attack.

Coronation Street Confirms Gary Windass’s Hospital Fate
After Lou’s blackmail, Gary packed his bags and told Maria he was going to stay at his mum’s for a few nights. But when he doesn’t return home for Liam’s birthday, his family grows increasingly worried.
What they don’t know is that Gary is actually lying unconscious in a hospital coma, with these scenes set to air tomorrow. The episode will be available from 7am on ITVX.
Growing anxious, Maria reports Gary as a missing person to Kit Green after discovering an unidentified coma patient, fearing it could be him.
Gary’s attacker goes to extreme lengths to hide their crime, even assuming a false identity and claiming to be Gary’s next of kin.
Despite Kit telling Maria the coma patient isn’t Gary, the investigation presses on as his condition deteriorates.
Upcoming scenes will uncover the events leading up to Gary’s attack and reveal those responsible…

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon hints at what’s ahead for Maria and Gary
Talking about the upcoming storyline where Maria learns about Gary’s attack, Coronation Street actress Samia Longchambon revealed: “Maria and Gary are going through a tough time right now. At first, she’s upset that he’s left but doesn’t overthink it. However, when Gary misses Liam’s birthday, she gets a strong feeling that something is seriously wrong and fears the worst.
“Maria’s thoughts start racing, but she doesn’t pause to consider who might have attacked Gary. She knows he has many enemies from his past who could have had a motive for revenge.”
