On Monday night (June 16), Lou kissed Gary and later used the moment to blackmail him.
Afterward, Gary returned home, packed his things, and told Maria he was heading to his mum’s for a few days.

Last night, Lou reassured Maria Connor that she wasn’t the one who reported her for ABH — it was actually her son Brody who contacted the police.
Later, Lou went over to Sally and Tim’s house and confronted them about involving social services in her family matters.
She firmly told them to stay away from her and her children, Shanice and Joanie, making it clear they had no right to question her parenting again.
Seeking comfort, Lou paid Gary a visit, shared a few drinks with him, and asked if he could speak to Sally and Tim on her behalf.
Gary agreed, but Lou unexpectedly kissed him. Gary immediately pulled back and reminded her that he was married to Maria and couldn’t let anything happen.
Lou then flipped the situation, warning Gary that she’d tell Maria about the kiss unless he did whatever she asked.
Feeling cornered, Gary returned home, packed a bag, and told Maria he’d be away for a few days — right after she asked if something had happened between him and Lou.

“Eventually, it’s revealed Lou has made similar accusations in the past, which leads to her departure from the Street.”
