Coronation Street actor Bill Fellows, who portrayed Stu Carpenter, has secured a new role in the BBC soap Casualty. Now, Bill is set to join the cast of Casualty, making the move from Weatherfield to the Holby Emergency Department.

Coronation Street actor Bill Fellows has secured a role in Casualty.

Bill, who portrayed Stu on Corrie, wrapped up his three-year run on the ITV soap in October 2024.

Now, Bill has revealed that he will be joining the cast of BBC’s Casualty. On Instagram, Bill posted a photo of himself covered in makeup, portraying an injured character.

According to The Sun, Bill’s character will be a permanent addition to the show, with an NHS pass seen around his neck behind the scenes, indicating he’ll be part of the E.D. team.

While full details of his character are still under wraps, it appears he’ll be involved in plenty of dramatic storylines.

Bill Fellows portrayed Stu Carpenter in Coronation Street, first appearing in 2021 as a homeless man. His backstory revealed that he had been wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of Charlie Walter, which led him to life on the streets.

After spending 27 years in prison, Stu was eventually released, and it was uncovered that his daughter Bridget was the actual killer.

During his time on the street, Stu developed a relationship with Yasmeen and later took in his granddaughter Eliza. He also helped others, like Kelly Neelan and Mason Radcliffe, guiding them toward a better future.

In October 2024, with Eliza now living with her father Dom in Germany, Stu decided to end his relationship with Yasmeen and move to Germany to be with his granddaughter.
