Gio’s Family Shock
As it turns out, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is Gio’s great-grandmother, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is his grandfather.
Of course, Tracy has made no secret of her disdain for Sonny. In fact, she’s on a mission to bring him down once and for all—and she’s willing to partner with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to make it happen.
This week on GH, Gio begins to uncover the murky side of Sonny’s past, thanks to insights from both Tracy and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). But the problem is—Tracy and Jason have very different interpretations of Sonny’s actions. Now Gio has a difficult decision ahead: who does he trust, and who will he ultimately stand by?
Choosing Sides: Tracy or Sonny?
Sonny has quietly supported Gio financially his entire life, while Tracy has grown closer to the young violinist since he moved into the Quartermaine mansion. But Tracy has been crystal clear about her feelings—she sees Sonny as toxic and wants him gone for good.
Up until now, Gio’s been caught in the middle of their bitter feud. But once he learns that his biological parents are Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), things will only get messier.
Suddenly, Gio will realize he’s both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos. And that dual identity might become more of a curse than a blessing.
Will Gio Break Down—or Rise Up?
How will Gio handle the emotional bombshell that’s about to explode? Could he reject both families in frustration? Might he even destroy his violin in a symbolic gesture of rebellion?
And let’s not forget the Jason Morgan factor—could Gio follow in Jason’s footsteps and turn his back on the Quartermaines to become Sonny’s right-hand man?
It’s not out of the question that Gio ends up taking over the Corinthos empire. After all, both Sonny and Jason have hinted at stepping away from the mob—and someone will need to take the reins.
