Tonight’s EastEnders episode delayed due to major schedule switch – here’s the rescheduled time

It’s been pushed back to next week

EastEnders has already broadcast all four of its weekly episodes, which means it won’t be airing tonight (Wednesday, July 2) due to a scheduling change.

In the latest episode, viewers watched Bernie Taylor and Felix Baker say goodbye to Walford as they headed off to start a new chapter elsewhere.

However, fans will have to wait until next week to see the fallout from their departures.

EastEnders Off Air Tonight Amid Latest Schedule Shake-Up

EastEnders won’t be airing this evening due to a fresh change in BBC One’s programming lineup.

This week, the soap dropped two episodes earlier than usual—on Monday (June 30) and Tuesday (July 1)—effectively completing its standard four-episode weekly run within just two days.

As a result, there’s no episode tonight (Wednesday), as Match of the Day Live will be taking over the primetime slot from 7pm, covering the Switzerland vs. Norway match, which kicks off at 8pm.

The disruption doesn’t end there. EastEnders will also be off the air on both Thursday (July 3) and Friday (July 4), with Wimbledon 2025 coverage dominating BBC One’s schedule during the day and evening.

Fans can next catch new drama from Walford on Wednesday, July 9, when a special double-bill will air from 8pm to 9pm.

For those who prefer to watch early, both episodes will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am that same day.

What’s Ahead on EastEnders Next Week

Coming up next week, Ravi Gulati and Suki work together to keep their businesses afloat in the wake of Bernie’s exit from Walford. Desperate for a solution, Ravi turns to Nicola and asks her to connect him with a drug supplier…

Meanwhile, Harry begins spinning stories to cover up why Ravi’s car has ended up in the garage — but soon finds himself stunned by Kojo’s actions.

Elsewhere, Lexi happens to overhear Cindy Beale discussing Callum and Johnny’s kiss. Despite this, Callum still chooses to spend the night with Johnny — though guilt quickly sets in over his betrayal.

Over on another part of the Square, Peter finds out about Zack and Lauren’s kiss and responds by giving Lauren the cold shoulder.
