In tonight’s EastEnders (Monday, June 30), Elaine Peacock experienced a suspected heart attack right in front of Johnny and Linda, leaving her future uncertain.
Under immense stress, Elaine initially dismissed her collapse as a panic attack. However, when she collapsed again in pain, Johnny and Linda called an ambulance.
Elaine then confided in Linda that she needed to sell the pub, acknowledging that being behind the bar was nothing compared to her role as Linda’s mother.
Elaine suffers suspected heart attack
Tonight on EastEnders, Elaine had a lot to deal with and ended up collapsing in pain at the pub.
Linda encouraged Elaine to take deep breaths as she tried to brush off the episode as a panic attack.
Elaine then shared a touching moment with her daughter, reflecting on her love life and admitting she never experienced a love like Mick and Linda’s.
Linda recalled to her mum the first time Mick had a panic attack and how frightened she had been.
Later, Elaine collapsed again at The Vic, leading Linda and Johnny to realize she might be having a heart attack.
Johnny called for an ambulance, but when it was delayed, Callum Highway arrived and suggested giving Elaine some aspirin. Using his professional knowledge, he tried to expedite the emergency response.
While they waited, Elaine told Linda that she knew she needed to sell the pub, valuing her role as Linda’s mum far more than running the pub.

Last week, Elaine told Linda that she’d rather die than see The Vic sold — but she may have just tempted fate.
Now, after collapsing twice and possibly suffering a heart attack, Elaine has agreed to let Linda sell the pub. But is it too late?
Heading to the hospital this week, Elaine will discover what’s wrong with her. Could it be something life-threatening?
