Phil grows concerned when Nigel heads out without shoes and causes a mess in the kitchen.
During a clash involving a pot of boiling water, Phil gets injured in the process.
Kat soon realises something isn’t right when Phil opens up to her about how serious Nigel’s dementia has become.
However, Phil dismisses Kat’s suggestion to organise additional support for Nigel.
Later, Nigel gives Lexi a hand with her schoolwork but becomes emotional when discussing the past. When Nigel mistakes Lexi for Clare, Phil’s concern deepens. But should Phil also be focusing on his own wellbeing?
- Elaine loses her temper
Elaine gives the go-ahead for Patrick’s birthday celebration to take place at The Vic but leaves a stressed-out Linda to handle the arrangements. However, she’s far from pleased when George offers to lend a hand.
Later, George reveals to Elaine that his solicitor believes he has a legal claim to The Vic…
With Elaine feeling overwhelmed, things go horribly wrong, and Linda points the finger at her for letting it happen…
- Patrick’s celebration
Yolande gets everything ready for Patrick’s 85th birthday bash and enlists Jean’s help to keep him distracted so he doesn’t catch on.
After sharing some words of wisdom with Jean about her issues with Kat, Patrick arrives at the party and is overjoyed. Elaine has gone all out with the planning — though not everyone is impressed.

4. Teenagers stir up trouble
Yolande tells Denzel he can have a few friends over while he looks after the kids for the night. Jean is pleased that Tommy has been invited.
Joel, interested in Amy, asks to come along too, but Denzel makes it clear he’s not welcome.
At Denzel’s get-together, he tells the kids to watch a movie and lets Joel bring in some alcohol.
Later, when they head to The Vic, Denzel is happy that Elaine Peacock serves them each a glass of punch.
The guys want more than just one glass, so they sneak off with some jugs to take home.
However, Raymond and the twins drink the punch when Joel and Denzel aren’t paying attention. After the kids are rushed to hospital, Denise and Kat blame Elaine for letting the lads have drinks in the first place.

5. Jean and Kat have a confrontation
Kat attempts to express her worries about Alfie to Jean, but Jean isn’t prepared to offer support yet, still feeling hurt by Kat’s decision to go into business with Kathy and Harvey.
Jean then questions why Kat has been hanging around Phil so much, to which Kat replies that she’s simply helping a friend.
- Nicola plans a celebration
With Barney failing his chemistry exam, Nicola and Teddy become concerned. Nicola then suggests reviving the old family tradition of ‘half Christmas.’
Zack is surprised when Harry invites him to the celebration, explaining that Barney wants him to attend.
Teddy and Nicola quickly have an argument, which leads Nicola to destroy all the decorations. However, she eventually cleans up the mess and starts to enjoy the festivities. Just then, Zack shows up…
Harry is happy when Nicola kicks Zack out, but Teddy tells Barney that he won’t prevent him from spending time with Zack if he chooses to. With emotions running high, Nicola turns to George for support as they connect over their recent break-ups…
- Bernie grows wary
Felix hopes Bernie will accept his relationship with Johnny, while Denise fears that Keanu’s murder might cause trouble for them if Johnny can’t win Bernie’s support.
Later, Vicki reviews the Panesar accounts and points out something unusual to Bernie, but he assures her that there’s no cause for concern.
Ross suggests that Vicki talk to Ravi about the accounts, but she’s puzzled when he seems unaware of the details.
After Ravi shows Priya his new car, he teams up with Suki to confront Bernie about the discrepancies in the accounts. What’s really happening?
