6 moments that didn’t add up in Coronation Street this week—from Nina’s wild party behavior to the storyline around Steve and Cassie’s relationship

Truly confusing moments

A number of moments in Coronation Street this week didn’t quite add up, especially when Aadi’s party took a turn for the worse.

Meanwhile, Gary Windass was viciously attacked and ended up in a coma.

Still, there were several scenes this week that left us genuinely confused.

  1. Nina’s LSD Experimentation
This week, Summer encouraged Nina and Aadi to try some of Brody’s LSD, which she had previously tried while studying in America.

Nina and Summer took theirs and began to experience hallucinations, while Aadi decided not to try it.

But surely Nina wouldn’t risk using it after seeing how badly Carla was affected when Stephen Reid spiked her with it not long ago?

Since Carla is almost like family to Nina’s uncle Roy, it seems unlikely Nina would be so careless.

  1. Steve’s Living Situation
Steve and Cassie made their relationship official this week, but when Tracy returned to the Barlow household, she and Amy were stunned to find the couple barely clothed together.

This raises a bigger question—why is Steve still living at the Barlows’ place (now with his new girlfriend) despite being in the middle of divorcing Tracy? It’s a rather odd arrangement.

  1. Gary’s Attack
After Nina and Summer feared they might have seriously harmed someone when Nina pushed a man while high at the party, the scene then cut to Gary Windass lying in hospital.

But how could Nina possibly have taken down Gary Windass? The same Gary who killed and buried Rick Neelan and can hold his own against anyone in a fight? Gary ending up in that condition feels quite far-fetched.

  1. Aadi Leaving His Drink Unattended
During the party, Aadi Alahan mixed the LSD into three cups. Nina and Summer drank theirs, but Aadi left his drink unattended to deal with an issue. When he came back, his drink was gone—Lauren Bolton had drunk it without knowing it contained LSD.

However, after witnessing his close friend Amy Barlow being spiked, you’d think Aadi would be more careful and never leave his drink unattended at a crowded party.

One fan took to X to say: “Yes, because OF COURSE Aadi, who stood by Amy when her drink was spiked, would mix LSD into three drinks AND then leave one unattended. It makes absolutely no sense!”

  1. Bobby’s Departure
This week, Betsy told Lauren that Bobby Crawford wouldn’t be coming back home. He had grown fond of the sailing life with Simon and planned to stay out there.

But since Simon is supposed to be with Peter, that means Bobby is too. So basically, Bobby has left living with Carla to go live with her ex-husband instead. Not exactly showing much family loyalty.

  1. Lauren’s Rib Injury
Lauren ended up with a cracked rib and a damaged spleen during her LSD-induced nightmare. We saw her stumble down some steps while high in Underworld, but it’s a bit hard to understand how she got such serious injuries from that.

Still, there’s no denying the poor teenager has been through an awful lot lately.
